Description
I've been wanting to do this drawing fro quite awhile now. I had my confirmation just last year, and as my confirmation saint I chose St. Therese.
I chose her because of her great simplicity and love. She led a completely ordinary life, yet the way she lived it was extraordinary. She treated every person with great compassion and did the smallest and simplest deeds to help people and Love God (which is in part why she's called the little flower )
I had this really clear picture in my mind of how I wanted it to be, and it actually came out EXACTLY how I had envisioned it, that's never happened before lol!
Most times, you'll see drawings of saints in a very traditional style, going very close in style to ancient frescoes and paintings, and I love them and the technique, but I find it also very interesting to potrey Saints using modern media and style. Artists of old times portreyed them in their own style and medium of the day, I think it would be cool to see more of Saints portreyed in the style of our day! I still love seeing them traditionally though!
I am extremely happy with this, and I hope you like it too! I did a zoom too because I wanted to show more detail
