according to Indian lore, the name Emerald was first translated from Sanskrit as Marakata, meaning “the green of growing things.”
Among all her jewels, Cleopatra especially favored the Emerald.


When I first think of emeralds, I think of the large gemstones used in royal crowns, especially those worn by kings, so I tried to incorporate a regal-ness in her.
_{at first this one totally came out into something I did not like. The whole thing just looked too different from the others in terms of style. But I decided to march through and completely rework whole parts with a more simplistic appraoch c: Pretty inspired by "The Emerald City" from wizard of Oz too!}
